Every child who ventures outdoors has been warned to be alert for the "Hoop Snake" which is a reptile that migrates. It was our understanding that the barn was visited by farmers during the day break, who would leave behind dust as the cows spoke as they milked them.

There were farmers who offered a bounty to the snake and would pay big bucks for every milk snake brought to them. It was something I'd not thought of, but it is amazing to think that the size of the milk snake must have been to drink three to four gallons at a time. The snake is around twenty-five feet long and as large as the size of a football. It was difficult to find a snake this large and powerful, but it was truly magical similar to vampires who could drink six liters from one human. Nobody ever got the first dollar of all the reward offered to this milk theft thief. The milk snake legend is now an untruth. Snakes can't tolerate lactose so making a snake drink 2 inches of water from a snake could result in its death. Beware!
