Rolling at incredible speeds dodging cars, trees and any other object that comes in its way and slicing through the air, the ferocious Hoop Snake chases its victim down upwards, down hills and up steps, through the yard and over the local cat and nothing will stop this ancient reptile when it's on the trail of a child, their preferred prey. I was a child and was always looking around to make sure that I was safe from this snake. However, I didn't get to see or meet another kid who was either chased or saw one due to it. It's sad that children become adults and realize there aren't any Hoop Snakes. It was a major aspect of their lives. Adults would tell their tales with so much worry and detail that it was hard for children to imagine the creature.
It is impossible to know the number of kids who received an ejection from the creators of this tail due to being late for supper or for not getting home on time because they walked slowly taking in every location in the distance, where a Hoop Snake might lay in wait for them, while on their way to home. It was a really confusing time for a lot of youngsters in my neighborhood, and I can assure you this with complete sincerity. As of now, I'm aware that there's never been nor will ever be an Hoop Snake. I'm devastated by this, due to my experiences as an infant. Can you imagine how strong it would be if this animal were real? It is amazing to be able to turn on its back, defying the laws of physics. Additionally, it has the ability to steer out from trees and other things. When its eyes are constantly either up or down but it doesn't know the Lay that is on its path. They were quite amused when I saw them look around every corner I passed by. This story has been discredited.
Then, we come to the fearsome Milk Snake. He was responsible for kids developing the brittle bone disease. I was taught as a kid to drink my entire milk because there was an increase in Milk Snakes resulting from the rainy season. It was expected that there was going to be a shortage soon. This Milk Snake was not related to the actual milk snake, a member of the King Snake family, (Lampropeltis triangulum) and was not even remotely. The snake was huge and all-black , and would slip into barns underneath a cloak of darkness. The cows wouldn't be capable of stopping it from moving at a slow pace and deliberately. It would grab onto cows' utters, and not think about the children's teeth that would eventually fall out. The snake then took the cow dry. It was said farmers would come by the barn in the evening to dust the cows and leave it uttering as they milked it.
The snake was a sought-after possession of farmers and they would pay huge amounts for each one called to their attention. It was something I'd never considered, but it's fascinating to consider that the size of the milk snake must have been to drink up to 4 gallons in one go. It could reach up to twenty-five feet and can grow the same height like a football. It is certain that a snake this big would have been easy to spot, but unlike the vampire that was able to consume six liters of blood from a single human victim, it was magic because no one ever got the first dollar of all of the money offered to the milk thief. Not one. The legend of the milk snake has gone extinct. Snakes are lactose intolerant. The force of a snake to drink 2 ounces of milk could lead to its demise. Don't be fooled.
