Hoop Snake moves at lightning speed, darting cars, trees and other objects in its path, and pursues its victim upwards, through hills. When I was a kid, I looked around every corner to insure my safety against this widely known snake and I guess I did a good job of staying clear of it, since I didn't see one, or meet another kid who either saw one or was pursued by one. My generation probably grew quicker than older generations, as nearly every adult who was able to talk about this snake was one of the victims or knew someone who was hit by one. It is sad when children are aware that Hoop Snakes do not exist. It was a devastating awakening for kids to realize that Hoop Snakes weren't real.
It's hard to tell the exact number of children who were punished by the originators for this tail because they were late for dinner or for not being punctual. It was a stressful time for many children in my neighborhood. Now , I can see that there never was or ever will be an Hoop Snake. It's an unfortunate fact due to the time I spent as a youngster. Do you think about how powerful it could be if this creature was real? Flipping up on its side defies the laws. The ability of the animal to move between trees and other obstacles is an impressive feat of strength. I think I did provide lots of laughter to a few adults as they watched me look around at every turn I went by. The story is a sham, never was an Hoop Snake, and never will ever be.
Then comes the scary Milk Snake, who caused brittlebone disease in children. As a young person, I was advised to drink all of my milk due to an rise in the number of Milk Snakes brought on by the heavy rains. This meant there will soon be a shortage. The Milk Snake wasn't related to the actual milk snake, which is a part of the King Snake family, (Lampropeltis triangulum) but not in any way. The snake was huge and all-black and would slip into barns, hiding under a cover of darkness. A cow would not be capable of stopping it from moving swiftly and intentionally. It would cling to cows utterings, and never even think about children. Their teeth were certain to come out, and it then consumed the blood of the cow. It was reported that farmers would go to the barn at daybreak to dust the cows as they tried to milk them.
There were farmers who were able to offer a reward for this snake , and would offer big bucks for every milk snake that was brought to them. I've never considered it before, but can you think of how big a milk snake could have gotten to eat up to four gallons at once? It's up to 25 feet and can grow the same height as a football. It is certain that a snake this big would have been easy to locate, but just like the vampire that was able to consume six Liters of blood from a single human it was magical because no one ever got the first cent of the bounty's offered for this milk thief. one. The legend of the milk snake is no more. Snakes are lactose-intolerant, so forcing a snake into drinking two ounces of milk could be fatal. Don't be fooled!
