Depends on if you have played either mgs2 or mgs3, because if you did you will seriously miss. The twin snakes has a number of alterations compared to the original playstation version of metal gear solid. These do make the game much easier but also less frustrating to play.

The original mgs has better voice acting and music (both of which are debatable), but has no first person aiming and some pretty crummy character models by 2014 standards (the game still looks ok though). Although i prefer the ps1 version to its remake, i feel like mgs fans seem to hold double standards for twin snakes due to its ludicrous presentation of the story. 2.ts has better framerate than the ps1 version. I will personally always recommend the original, twin snakes isn't a bad remake by an stretch it just isn't as good as the original game. I've just finished mgs3 snake eater and i'm now looking forward to moving on to mgs1.
