I think I did provide a lot of laughter for some adults who observed me looking around at every turn I went by. This story is finished. There was never any Hoop snake and it will never ever be.

As a youngster, I was told to drink all of my milk as there had been an increase in Milk Snakes because of the rainy season and there would have a shortage of milk soon. The fat, long snake was all black and was moving in deliberate and slow ways, making it difficult for cows to resist. It would grab the cows words, and then move on to suck the cow dry. It was said that farmers would go to the barn during the day to dust the cows when they attempted to milk them.
A bounty was established by some farmers for every milk snake that they brought in. I've never thought of it before, but can you think of how big a milk snake could have gotten to eat up to four gallons in one sitting? A snake this big would have been hard to find, but just like the vampire who was able to consume six liters of blood from a single victim it was a feat of magic. Since nobody ever got the first penny out of all of the bounty's for the milk thieves. It's sad to announce that the myth of the milk snake has been debunked. Snakes are lactose intolerant which means that forcing a snake to drinking two ounces of milk can be fatal. Don't be fooled.
