The Hoop Snake rolls at a blazing speed, avoiding trees or cars and other obstacles in its way. It pursues its victim down, through hills and down, along with sets of steps, through the backyard, and even over the cat. Nothing can stop the snake from following a young child and their most sought-after prey. As a kid, I was always looking around to make sure I was safe from this snake. However, I didn't encounter another child who was pursued or witnessed one due to it. My generation probably was quicker than previous generations, since almost every adult who was able to talk about this snake was either one of the victims or had a relative who was stomped by one. It's a shame when children grow up and realize there are no Hoop Snakes. It was a large part in most kids ' lives. Children would never have the opportunity to meet this creature in the absence of hearing it from their parents.

Though I never thought about it, can you imagine how big the milk snake had to be to consume three or four gallons of milk in a single sitting? They can be seen at 25 feet and can be as large as the size of a football. It's evident that a snake this large would have been easy to locate. But, like the vampire that was able to drink up to six liters of blood from one individual it was pure magical. It was never the first cent of the bounty that was offered to the milk theft thief. It's sad to say that the milk serpent is a legend. It's never ever been a reality and it isn't likely to be.
