Hoop Snake, moving at amazing speeds and avoiding trees and cars, chases its prey on hills and down, down hills, and through the stairs through the yard and over the cat. When I was a child I was always looking around every turn to be sure of my safety against the well-known snake. This is in part due to my early years. Can you imagine the strength the animal could possess in the event that it was real? It's incredible to be able to flip on its back, defying the laws of physical physics. Additionally, it has the ability to steer out from trees and other objects. Although its eyes are constantly focused on the ground or upwards and down, it is unable to see what Lay is in its way. They seemed a little amused when I saw them glance around at every corner that I passed by. The story has been discredited.
The much-feared Milk Snake is next. This was responsible for children developing bone brittle disease. As a youngster I was instructed to drink all my milk since there was an increase in the number of Milk Snakes as a result of the rainy season and there would be a milk shortage fairly soon. This Milk Snake was not at all related to the real Milk Snake (Lampropeltis Triangulum) which is a member of the King Snake family. The long, fat snake was all black and moved in slow and deliberate ways, making it difficult for cows to avoid. It would grab onto cows utterings, and never even think about children. Their teeth were certain to come out, and then it took the cow's blood. It was reported that farmers would go to the barn during the day to leave dust behind the cows when they attempted to milk them.
The snake was a sought-after possession of farmers and they would shell out huge sums of money for each one that was brought to their attention. Although it was not something I had thought of, imagine how large a milk snake could be to consume up to four gallons of milk per sitting. It could reach up to twenty-five feet and can grow as tall like a football. Surely a snake that large would have been easy to spot, but unlike the vampire who was able to consume six Liters of blood from one human being, it was magic because no one ever got the first penny of the rewards offered to the milk thief. Not one. Unfortunately, the milk snake myth has become an untruth. Snakes are lactose intolerant and forcing a snake to drink two pounds of snake may very possibly cause its demise. Beware!
