Snake River Hot Dog
Snake River Hot Dog. The name, which comes from the snake (shoshone) indians, was applied to the river as early as 1812, making it one of the oldest place names in the park. Put hot dogs back in the pan, turning frequently.

Speedy and incredibly fast, the Hoop Snake is able to dodge cars, trees and all other obstacles that comes in its way and slicing through the air, the ferocious Hoop snake chases its victim down, up hills, down hills, up sets of steps, across the yard, and even over the neighborhood cat and nothing will stop this reptile's ancient history when it's on the trail of a child, their most sought-after prey. I was a child and looked around every corner to ensure that I was secure from this snake. However, I didn't get to see or meet any other child who was chased or saw one because of it. My generation was faster than other generations. Many people who talk about this snake were either victims or had relatives who were killed by one. It's very sad when children learn that Hoop Snakes don't exist. With such a dreadful tone that they voiced, the adults spoke about the creature with such detail that a kid would not have the opportunity to hear their stories.
The originators of this tail do not know how many kids were given spankings when they were late for dinner or not being punctual. It was because they were slow walking and stared at every point that was in the distance, in the hopes that there was a Hoop Snake could be waiting for them. It was confusing for many youngsters in my community. I can honestly tell you. I now realize that there never was any Hoop Snake in my neighborhood, and this is due to the lost time during my childhood. Imagine the strength it would possess were this creature real? The ability to flip onto its side defies physical laws. It can also navigate through trees, and its eyes can look downwards or upwards. It's possible that I am providing a few adults with a bit of laughter while I walked away looking around every corner I came to. The story is over. There never was an Hoop snake and never will ever be.
We then have the fearsome Milk Snake. He was the reason why children developed brittle bones disease. I was instructed as a child to drink all my milk because there was a surge in Milk Snakes resulting from the torrential rains. It was likely that there was going to be a shortage soon. The Milk Snake was not related to the actual milk snake, one of the members of the King Snake family, (Lampropeltis triangulum) and was not even remotely. The snake was all long, black and large. It moved slowly and carefully and never put cows in danger. It would grasp onto cows' utters, never ever thinking about the kids who's teeth could fall out. Following that it would flush the cow's water. We were informed that farmers would return to the barn during day break to find dust on the cows' teeth as they attempted to milk it.
A bounty was set up by some farmers for each milk snake that they brought in. I've never thought about it , but can you imagine how huge the milk snake would be to consume three to four gallons milk in a single moment? The snake can grow to 25 feet in length and be as large as a football. It was difficult to find a snake this big and powerful, but it was truly magical, just like the vampire who could drink six liters from one human. No one ever received the first cent of the bounty's given to the milk theft thief. The legend of the milk snake is no more. Snakes are lactose intolerant and forcing a snake to drink two inches of snake water could likely cause its death. Don't be fooled!
What ever happened the new snake species, called the "Venomous Bull Snake?" This terrifying creature is result of two divergent and amorous snakes who met some time ago. The male was a Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake who came upon a Southern Pine snake, they were both looking at one another the stars were observed by both and the cupids began shooting arrows all over the place and they both fell in love with the other. They had a lot of young un's as did all married couples. These were not your average young adults. They carried half the weapons used by their fathers and half of their mothers. All things considered, the Bull Snake, as it was called was one of most unpleasant animals to encounter within the forest.
