It's a shame that kids grow up and discover they don't have Hoop Snakes. They were a huge element of the kids' lives. Children would never have the chance to see this creature in the absence of hearing it from their parents.
It's hard to tell the exact number of children who were punished by the people who created this wagging tail for being late for dinner or not getting there on time. It was quite confusing for many of the kids from my former neighborhood. It is now apparent that there never was and will never be ever a Hoop Snake. This is in part due to my childhood. Imagine how much strength it would be if the animal were alive. Turning over on its back over the top of its head is an outright violation of law. The animal's ability to navigate between trees and other obstacles is an impressive feat of strength. As I left I scanned every corner. This tale is a bust There has ever been an Hoop Snake and there isn't going to be another.
