Hoop Snake, rolling at amazing speeds and avoiding cars and trees it chases prey up and down hills up and down hills, as well as up sets of stairs, through the yard and over the cat. I remember looking around every corner as a child to make sure my safety against the familiar snake. But I didn't see it and I never met anyone else who was chased by the Hoop Snake. I'd say my generation was a step ahead of those of the past and nearly everyone who was an adult who mentioned the creature was either a victim or had a relative who was scourged by a Hoop Snake. It is sad when kids become adults and discover that there are no Hoop Snakes. They played an important role in the majority of kids ' lives. Adults told their tales with such a fearful tone in their voice and detailed the creature in detail that a child never got a chance to experience it.
The creators of this tail do not know the number of kids who received spankings for being late for dinner or not being punctual. This was due to the fact that they were slow walking and stared at every spot in the distance where a Hoop Snake might be waiting. It was a bit difficult for many kids from my neighborhood. Now I realize there has never been nor will there ever be an Hoop Snake and I am devastated most likely due to the years lost during my child hood. Can you even imagine the strength this creature could have in the event that it existed? The ability of this animal to turn on its side defies all laws of physics. It is also able to turn around and through trees with its eyes focused either downward or upward but never looking at what lies within the way. I'm pretty sure I provided plenty of laughs for some adults who observed me looking around at every turn I went by. This story has been discredited.
Then, we come to the fearsome Milk Snake. He was responsible for kids developing Brittle bones disease. When I was a child I was advised to drink my entire milk because there has been an increase in Milk Snakes as a result of the torrential rains, and there was likely to be a shortage of milk fairly soon. The Milk Snake was not in any way related to the real Milk Snake and is a member of King Snake Family (Lampropeltistriangulum). The snake was massive and black, and would slide into barns underneath a cloak of darkness. The cows wouldn't be able to stop it from moving slowly and deliberately. It would grab onto cows utterings, and never give a thought about children. Their teeth were certain to be sucked out, and the snake then took the cow's blood. We were told that farmers would come to the barn after a time breaks to discover dust on the cows' utter as they attempted to milk it.
The snake was a sought-after possession of farmers and they would shell out huge sums of money for each one brought to their attention. While I wasn't thinking about it, can you imagine the size of the milk snake had to be to have consumed three or four five gallons of milk in a single sitting? They can be seen at 25 feet and are the size of a football. While a snake of this size would have been extremely difficult to locate, it is not impossible to catch. The milk snake myth is now a fable. Snakes are lactose-intolerant so forcing them to drink two ounces could lead to their demise. Beware!
What was the cause? This terrifying creature was created by two different snake species that came across each other just a few years in the past. Male was an Eastern Diamondback snake that happened to come across a Southern Pine serpent. Both looked at the other, stars were observed by both, and the cupids began shooting arrows all around. They had a lot of young uns and married couples. These were not just ordinary young uns and snakes who had the majority of the father's defensive weaponry as well as half of the mothers. The Bull snake, as it was called was among the most deadly animals you would find in the woods.
