The people who came up with this tail don't know the number of kids who received spankings for being late for dinner or not being on time. It was because they walked slowly and looked at every point far away in the hopes that a Hoop Snake might be waiting for them. It was a confusing time for many children in my former neighborhood. Today, I realize that there never was or is not going to ever be the existence of a Hoop Snake. It's tragic because of the time I spent as a child. Do you think about how powerful it could be if this creature were real? The ability of this animal to turn on its back defies the physical laws. It is also able to move around and in between trees with its eyes fixed either downwards or upwards but never looking at what lies in its path. They seemed a little amused when I saw them glance around at every corner I passed by. The story has been discredited.
Next up is the terrifying Milk Snake, who caused the condition known as brittlebone in children. I was taught in my childhood to drink all my milk, because there was a surge in Milk Snakes due to the heavy rains. It was probable that there will be a shortage soon. It was never the first dollar of the bounty that was offered to this milk thief. Again sad to say the milk snake is a legend, never was one, ever will be. Snakes are lactose intolerant which means that forcing a snake to drinking two ounces of milk can be fatal. Beware!
