Hoop Snake is a speedy reptile that rolls at great speeds, skipping over trees and vehicles. If it's on the trail of its prey, the Hoop Snake will chase the victim around the yard, over the cat and then climb up the steps. As a kid, I looked around every corner to make sure I was protected from this snake. However, I didn't encounter another kid who was either caught or was a victim because of it. My generation was much faster than the other generations. The majority of people who talk about this snake were victims themselves or had relatives who were savaged by one. It's sad to see youngsters growing older and recognizing that there aren't any Hoop Snakes. Children will never get the chance to encounter this animal even if they did not hear about it from their parents.
There's no way to tell how many children received a slap from the makers of this tail due to being late for supper or for not arriving on time because they were slow walking and were looking around at every place in the distance, where there was a Hoop Snake might be waiting in waiting for them they were walking home. It was quite confusing for many of my children from my neighborhood. As of now, I'm aware that there's never been nor will ever be an Hoop Snake. I am saddened by this, due to the time I spent as growing up. Imagine the strength it would be if the animal were actually alive. Its ability to turn its back is a defiance to all laws of physics. It can also move around and in between trees, while its eyes are directed either upwards or downwards and never noticing what is on the other side of its route. So I must have provided some adults with a little laugh as they watched me walk away looking around every turn I came across. The story is over. There has never been a Hoop snake and it will never ever be.
The dreaded Milk Snake is next. It was the reason for children being diagnosed with brittle bone disease. As a child I was told to drink my entire milk because of the increase in Milk Snakes caused by the heavy rains. This meant there was going to be a shortage of milk. The Milk Snake was not closely related to the real milk snake (Lampropeltistriangulum) However, it was a member in the King Snake family. This snake was long and big, black, and slipped into barns under the cloak of darkness, going slowly and carefully and never giving a cow any chance. The snake would grab cows' words and go ahead to sucking the cow dry. It was our understanding that the barn would be visited by farmers at breaks during the day, and they would leave behind dust as the cows would utter their thoughts as they milked them.
Certain farmers were able to offer a reward for this snake , and would offer huge sums for each milk snake that was brought to them. It was something I'd previously not considered, however it's amazing to consider that the size of the milk snake would have had to be to drink three to four gallons at once. It could reach up to twenty-five feet and can grow nearly as tall as a football. Although a snake of this size might have been very difficult to find but it's not impossible to catch. It's sad to announce that the myth about the milk snake has been debunked. Snakes are lactose intolerant so forcing a snake into drinking two ounces milk could be fatal. Don't fall for the trap!
What happened? The frightful animal is the result of two amorous and different snakes that met in the past. The male was an Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake who came upon a Southern Pine snake, they glanced at one and other the stars were observed by both and cupid started shooting arrows across the entire area and they fell madly in love with the another. They had many young and were just like the married couples of the time. They were not your typical young uns. They carried half the weapons used by their fathers and half that of their mothers. When all is said and done, the Bull snake, as it was named was one bad animal to run across in the forest.
