So I must have provided a few adults with a smile as I walked off, looking around every corner I came to. This tale is not true. I am no Hoop Snake.
The next one is the terrifying Milk Snake, who caused the condition known as brittlebone in children. As a child, I was instructed to drink my entire milk as there had been an increase in the number of Milk Snakes as a result of the heavy rains. There was a shortage of milk very soon. This Milk Snake did not appear to be in any way related to the actual Milk Snake, which is part of the King Snake Family (Lampropeltistriangulum). While I wasn't thinking about it, could you imagine how big the milk snake would have been to have consumed three to four gallon of milk in a single session? It could reach up to twenty-five feet and can be as tall like a football. It was difficult to locate a snake of this size, but it was magical, just like vampires who could drink six liters from one human. No one ever received the first dollar of all the reward offered to this milk theft thief. The legend of the milk snake is no more. Snakes are lactose intolerant therefore forcing a snake into drinking two ounces milk could be fatal. Beware!
