It would be safe to say, every child who went out into the outdoors at some point has been warned to keep an eye at the back of any of these magnificent creatures, lest you be another victim who fell prey to a mi-rooding reptile, known as the "Hoop Snake". This long, muscular snake can form the perfect 360° circle with its body when in the ground. Then it takes its tail into its mouth forming a living Hula-Hoop. It's like magic when it flips to its side and the chase is going on!

Hoop Snake speeds at lightning speed, flying through trees, cars, and other things in its path. Then, it chases its victim upand through hills. When I was a child, I looked around at every corner to make sure I was safe against this well-known snake. Unfortunately, I didn’t be able to witness one for myself or meet someone who was victimized by one. My generation was probably faster than the previous generations, since almost every adult who spoke about this snake was a victim or had a relative who was stomped by one. It's sad that children are old enough to realize that they don't have Hoop Snakes. It was a major part of most kids' lives. Children would never have the chance to see this animal if they didn't hear it from their parents.

There's no way to tell the number of kids who received a spanking by the originators of this tail because they were late for supper or for not arriving on time because they were slow walking taking in every location in the distance, where there was a Hoop Snake could be waiting to wait for them, while on their way home. It was a really confusing period for many youngsters in my neighborhood, and I can tell that in all honesty. As of now, I'm aware that there has never been or will ever be a Hoop Snake. I'm saddened by this, due to the time I spent as an infant. Can you imagine the strength the animal could possess in the event that it was real? Its ability to turn its back is a defiance to all laws of physics. It also can move around and in between trees, while its eyes are focused either downward or upward but never looking at what lies in the path. I think I did provide a lot of laughter for some adults who looked at me from every turn I went by. The story is a sham, never was an Hoop Snake, and never will ever be.

The dreaded Milk Snake is next. It was the reason for children suffering from bone diseases that are brittle. As a youngster, I was told to drink my entire milk because there has been an increase in Milk Snakes because of the rainy season and there was sure to be a shortage of milk fairly in the near future. This Milk Snake wasn't related at all to the actual Milk Snake (Lampropeltis Triangulum) which is a member of the King Snake family. The long, fat snake was completely black and moved slowly and in deliberate ways, making it difficult for cows to avoid. It would latch onto cows utterings, and never think about children. Their teeth were certain to come out, and it then consumed the blood of the cow. It was our understanding that the barn would be visited by farmers during the day break, who would leave behind dust as the cows would utter their thoughts as they milked them.

Farmers had a bounty and would be willing to pay a huge sum for any milk snake that was brought to them. It was something I'd not thought of, but it's fascinating to consider that the size of the milk snake would have had to be to drink up to 4 gallons at once. The snakes are visible at 25 feet and can be as large as a football. While a snake of this size might have been very difficult to catch but it's not impossible to catch. Sad to say, the milk serpent is not real. It has never been ever been and will not be one again. Snakes are actually lactose intolerant and forcing the snake to drink two pounds of snake may very well cause its demise. Don't fall for the trap!

What has happened to the "Venomous Bull Snake", a new species of snake? This terrifying creature is result of two divergent and amorous snakes who happened to meet one another a while back. The male was an Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake that came across a Southern Pine snake. They looked at each other, and the stars were visible to both. Cupid started shooting arrows everywhere and they both fell head over heels for each other. As with all married couples they had lots of young uns. They were not your typical young people. They carried half the arsenal of defencive weapons as their fathers and half of their mothers. The Bull snake known as the Bull snake was among the most dangerous animals that you would find in the forests.
