Hoop Snake is a speedy reptile that moves at high speeds, avoiding trees and vehicles. As a youngster, I looked around every turn to ensure my safety from this well known snake and I guess I did a great job of staying clear of it, since I never did get to encounter one, or even meet a child who encountered one or was chased by one. It's sad that children grow up and discover there are no Hoop Snakes. It was an integral element of the kids' lives. Adults told their stories with such fear and details that it was difficult for children to imagine the animal.
The originators of this tail do not know the number of kids who received spankings when they were late for dinner, or being on time. It was because they walked slow and looked at every spot that was in the distance, in the hopes that a Hoop Snake might be waiting. It was quite confusing for a lot of children in my area. I can assure that you. I have come to realize that there wasn't a Hoop Snake, and this is due to the time I spent away from my early years. Can you imagine the strength this creature would possess in the event that it was real? It's amazing to be able flip onto its side, defying the laws of Physics. Also, its ability to steer out from trees and other things. While its eyes are constantly looking down or up and down, it is unable to see what Lay is in its way. They were quite amused watching them stare around every corner that I passed by. The story I told you about isn't real. I am not a Hoop Snake.
The dreaded Milk Snake is next. It is the cause of children suffering from bone brittle disease. As a youngster I was instructed to drink all my milk as there had been an increase of Milk Snakes because of the rainy season and there would have a shortage of milk in the near future. I've never thought about it but can you imagine how huge the milk snake must be to consume three to four gallons of milk in one time? They can be seen at twenty-five ft and are the size of the size of a football. Even though a snake this size might have been very difficult to find however, it's not impossible to capture. The legend of the milk snake has gone extinct. Snakes are lactose intolerant therefore forcing a snake into drinking two ounces milk could be fatal. Don't be fooled!
