Hoop Snake, which is moving at incredible speeds, and staying clear of trees and vehicles and trees, chases its prey on hills and down, down hills, and up and down sets of stairs through the yard and over the cat. As a kid, I constantly checked my surroundings to protect myself from this known snake. I didn't see it or have ever been pursued by it. My generation probably was more agile than previous generations because almost all adults who spoke about the creature were either victims or relatives who were victimized by a Hoop Snake. It is sad when kids become adults and discover that there are no Hoop Snakes. It was an important role in the majority of kids ' lives. With such a fearful tone in their voices, adults described the animal with so much detail that children wouldn't get to listen to their stories.
It's difficult to determine how many kids were spanked by the designers of the tail due to being late for dinner, for not being on schedule or for simply slow walking, and gazing out for any place where the Hoop Snake might lurk, as they made their way back home. This was extremely confusing for many children from my neighborhood. Now I realize there was never and will never be there ever be an Hoop Snake and I'm devastated mostly because of the time lost during my child hood. Do you think of the strength it could have were this creature real? It's amazing to be able to flip on its side, defying laws of physics. Also, its ability to steer in and out from trees and other objects. Although its eyes are always either up or down, it never sees the Lay that is on its way. As I was walking around taking in every turn I was able to give a little of a laugh to a couple of adults. The story has been discredited.
The much-feared Milk Snake is next. It is the cause of children being diagnosed with bone brittle disease. When I was a child I was instructed to drink all my milk since there was an increase in Milk Snakes due to the rainy season and there was likely to be a milk shortage fairly soon. This Milk Snake was not associated with the actual Milk Snake (Lampropeltistriangulum), in any way. The fat, long snake was all black and was moving in deliberate and slow manners, making it hard for cows to resist. It would latch onto the cows' uttersand never thinking of the kids who's teeth could fall out. Following that it would flush the cow's water. Based on our research farmers used to come to the barn during breaks in the day to gather dust and milk the cows.
There were farmers who were able to offer a reward for this snake and would pay big bucks for every milk snake that was delivered to them. It was something I had never considered, but it's amazing to consider how big the milk snake must have been to drink up to 4 gallons in one go. We're talking about 25 feet, and as large as a football. While a snake of this size might have been very difficult to catch however, it's not impossible to capture. Sad to say, the milk serpent is not real. It's never been one and will never be again. Snakes can't tolerate lactose so forcing a snake to drink two ounces of snake water could cause death. Don't be fooled again!
What was the cause? This terrifying creature is the result of two distinct snake species who stumbled upon each other a couple of years in the past. The male was an Eastern Diamondback snake that happened to encounter a Southern Pine serpent. Both looked at the other, the stars were spotted by both, and then cupid started shooting arrows all around. As all married couples, they had plenty of young women. These weren't normal young uns. They were snakes who had half the arsenal of their mother and half that of the father's. In the end this was the Bull snake as it was named was one bad animal to run across in the forest.
