Hoop Snake is a swift reptile that can move at incredible speeds, dodging trees and cars. When it's on trail of its prey, the Hoop Snake is known to chase the victim around the yard, past the cat and then climb up the steps. When I was a kid, I always was looking around to protect myself from this famous snake. I never saw it or have ever been pursued by it. My generation was faster than other generations. Most adults who have heard of this snake were victims themselves or had relatives savaged by one. It's sad to see youngsters growing older and recognizing that there are no Hoop Snakes. It was a sad discovery for children to discover that Hoop Snakes were not real.
It is impossible to know how many kids got a slap from the makers of this tail for being late for dinner or not getting home on time because they walked slowly, looking at every spot in the distance where there was a Hoop Snake could be waiting to wait for them, while returning home. It was a stressful moment for children from my former neighborhood. I now realize that there wasn't a Hoop Snake which is due to the time I spent away from my early years. What is the strength this creature would possess if it were actually real? Its ability to turn its side defies all laws of physics. It is also able to swerve in and around trees with its eyes directed either upwards or downwards and never noticing what is in the route. It's possible that I am providing a few adults with a little laugh as they watched me walk through the streets, looking at every corner I came to. This tale is over. There never was an Hoop snake and never will be.

As a young person, I was advised to drink all of my milk because of the increase in Milk Snakes caused by the heavy rains. This meant there was going to be a shortage of milk. The snake was long and fat, all black and slipped into barns under the darkness of the night, moving along slowly and deliberately, a cow never stood a chance. It would grasp cows' utters, and not give a damn about the kids whose teeth would eventually fall out. The snake would then take the cow out of its. The story told us farmers would come by the barn at night to clean the cows, and let it utter while they milked it.
Some farmers had a bounty on the snake and would pay large sums of money for every milk snake that was delivered to them. I've never considered it but can you picture how big a milk snake could have gotten to consume as much as four gallons in a single sitting? It could reach up to twenty-five feet and can grow as tall as a football. It's evident that a snake that big would have been easy to spot. But, like the vampire who could drink six liters blood from one person, it was magical. No one ever received the first cent of any bounty offered for the milk theft thief. It's sad to say that the milk snake is a legend and never has been, never will ever. Snakes are lactose-intolerant. Forcing a snake to drink 2 ounces of milk could lead to the death of the snake. Don't fall for the myths.
