Hoop Snake is a speedy reptile that can move at incredible speeds, dodging trees and vehicles. If it's on the path of their prey the Hoop Snake can chase its victim through the yard, around the cat and up the steps. As a child I always checked my surroundings to be safe from this known snake. I didn't see it or have ever been caught by it. I'd say my generation was faster then those of the past, as just about everyone who was an adult who mentioned the snake was a previous victim or had a family member who was scourged by a Hoop Snake. It is sad to see children growing up and realizing that there are no Hoop Snakes. Children would never have the chance to see the animal in the absence of hearing it from their parents.

It was a really confusing period for many youngsters in my neighborhood, and I can tell you that with all honesty. Today, I am aware that there was never and will never be there ever be any Hoop Snake and I am devastated due to the time that I lost in my childhood. Can you imagine the strength this animal would have If it existed? It's incredible to be able flip onto its back, defying the laws of physics. Additionally, it has the ability to steer out from trees and other things. While its eyes are always either up or down but it doesn't know the Lay in its direction. I'm pretty sure I provided a lot of laughter for some adults as they observed me looking around at every corner I walked by. This tale has been debunked.

Due to the increase in the number of Milk Snakes in severe rains, there would likely be an imminent shortage of milk. The snake was huge and black, and would slide into barns, hiding under a cover of darkness. The cows wouldn't be in a position to stop it from moving swiftly and purposefully. It would grab onto cows' utters and never give a thought to the kids who's teeth would fall out , and later develop brittle bones, and it sucked that poor cow dry. It was said that farmers would go to the barn at daybreak to leave dust behind the cows when they attempted to milk them.
This snake was a prized property of farmers, and they would pay huge amounts for each one that was brought to their attention. Though I never thought about it, could you imagine the size of the milk snake would have been to consume three or four five gallons of milk in one session? It could reach up to twenty-five feet and can be as tall like a football. While a snake of this size would have been very difficult to find, it is not impossible to capture. Again sad to say the milk snake is a myth, never was one, ever will be. Snakes are lactose-intolerant, therefore forcing a snake into drinking two ounces of milk can be fatal. Don't fall for the myths!
