Hoop Snake is a speedy reptile that moves at high speeds, skipping over cars and trees. I can remember watching every corner as a child to make sure my safety from the familiar snake. However, I never saw it and I never met anyone else who was pursued by it. My generation was far more advanced than previous generations. The majority of adults who spoke of this snake had either been a victim or had a relative that was shot. It's very sad when children realize that Hoop Snakes don't exist. It was a devastating discovery for children to discover that Hoop Snakes are not real.
It is impossible to know the exact number of children who were punished by the people who created this tail for being tardy for dinner or not getting there on time. It was a confusing moment for children from my old neighborhood. I now realize that there never was an Hoop Snake which is due to the time I spent away from my youth. What is the strength that this creature could have in the event that it existed? The ability to flip over to the side is a defiance of the physical laws. It can also maneuver in and out trees, and its eyes look either down or forward. As I walked away, I looked around every corner. This tale is over. There never was a Hoop snake and it will never be.
Then, we come to the feared Milk Snake. He was responsible for children developing Brittle bones disease. I was instructed as a child to drink all my milk because there was a surge in Milk Snakes from the rainy season. It was likely that there will be a shortage soon. It would latch onto the cows' uttersand never ever thinking about the children who's teeth could fall out. Following that it would wash the cow's water. Based on our research, farmers used to visit the barn during breaks in the day to collect dust and milk the cows.
A bounty was established by some farmers for each milk snake that they brought into. I've never thought about it , but can you imagine how large the milk snake must be to consume three to four gallons milk at a single sitting? It can reach twenty-five foot and is as tall as a football. Surely a snake that large would be easy to find but like the vampire that was able to drink six liters of blood from one human it was magical because nobody ever took the first dollar of all of the bounty's offered for the milk thief. Not one. The milk serpent is not real. It's never been one and isn't likely to be. Snakes are lactose intolerant. Forcing the snake to drink 2 inches of snake water could possibly cause its demise. Don't fall for it!
