Rolling at incredible speeds dodging cars, trees and any other object in its path The venomous Hoop Snake chases its victim down the hill, up and down hills, up sets of steps, across the yard, and even over the neighborhood cat but nothing can stop this reptile's ancient history in its path of a child, their preferred prey. As a kid I sat at every turn to be sure of my safety against this famous snake. However, I did not be able to witness one for myself or meet a child who was victimized by one. My generation was more advanced than those of previous generations. Every adult who spoke of this snake had either been an innocent victim or had a relative that was scourged. It's tragic to watch youngsters growing older and recognizing that there aren't any Hoop Snakes. It was a painful discovery for children to discover that Hoop Snakes were not real.
It's hard to know how many kids were spanked by the designers of the tail due to being late for dinner, for not being on schedule or for simply taking a long walk, or looking out for any place where there was a Hoop Snake could be lurking, while they walked to home. It was a bit difficult for many kids from my former neighborhood. It is now clear that there has never been and will never be ever a Hoop Snake. It is in part due to my childhood. Imagine the strength it could have had this animal been real? To be able to flip up onto its side defies the laws of physics, as do its ability to spin through trees and other objects as its eyes look at either up or down and never seeing what Lay in its path. Well I guess I provided a few adults with a bit of laughter as I walked away looking around every corner I came to. This tale is busted, never was ever a Hoop Snake, never will ever be.
Next up is the terrifying Milk Snake, who caused the brittlebone disorder in children. When I was a kid, I was instructed to drink all my milk as there had been an increase in the number of Milk Snakes as a result of the torrential rains. There was the shortage of milk soon. The Milk Snake was not associated with the real milk snake (Lampropeltistriangulum) however, it was part of the King Snake family. This snake was long and fat, all black and moved into barns underneath the cover of darkness slow and deliberate, a cow never stood an opportunity. It would latch onto cows ' utterings and not think about children. Their teeth were bound to fall out, and it then took the cow's blood. We were told that farmers would stop by the barn at night to clean the cows, and let it utter while they milked it.
This snake was a prized farm animal and farmers would shell out huge sums of money for each one that was brought to their attention. I never really thought about it , but can you imagine how large the milk snake must have been to consume three to four gallons of milk in a single time? It's up to 25 feet and can grow the same height as a football. It is certain that a snake this big would be easy to spot, but unlike the vampire that was able to drink six tons of blood from one human being, it was magic because no one ever got the first cent of the rewards offered to the milk thief. Not one. It's sad to say that the milk snake is not real it never was and never will be. Snakes are lactose intolerant, so forcing them to drink two ounces could cause their death. Fooled again!
