Being able to flip up onto its back is a defiance to the laws of physics as do its ability to spin in and out of trees and other things as its eyes look at either up or down and never seeing what Lay across its path. When I was out walking checking out every corner and nook, I gave a smidge of laughter to a few adults. The story I told you about isn't real. I am no Hoop Snake.

As a kid, I was told to drink all of my milk since there was an increase in the number of Milk Snakes as a result of the heavy rains and there was sure to have a shortage of milk soon. This Milk Snake was not related to the real milk snake, a member of the King Snake family, (Lampropeltis triangulum) but not in any way. This snake was long and big, black, and moved into barns underneath the cover of darkness slow and deliberate and never giving a cow any chance. It would take the cow's' words and go on to suck the cow dry. We were informed that farmers would return to the barn after a day break to find dust leaving the cows utter as they attempted to milk it.
Farmers would be rewarded with a bounty, and would be willing to pay a huge sum for any milk snake brought to them. Though I never thought about it, can you imagine how big the milk snake must be to have consumed three or four gallon of milk in one session? The snake can grow to 25 feet in length and be as large as a football. Surely a snake that large could have been simple to locate, but just like the vampire that could drink six tons of blood from one human being it was magical because nobody ever took the first dollar of all of the money offered to this milk thief, not one. Sad to say, the milk serpent is not real. It's never ever been a reality and it will not be one again. Snakes are lactose-intolerant so forcing them to drink two ounces could cause their death.
