It was something I had previously not considered, however it is amazing to think how large the milk serpent would have had to be to drink three to four gallons at once. The snake can grow to twenty-five feet long and can be as big as the size of a football. It's evident that a snake that big would be easy to locate. But, like the vampire who was able consume six liters of blood from a single person it was pure magical. It was never the first dollar of the bounty that was offered to the milk thieves. It is sad to report that the myth about the milk snake is now discredited. Snakes aren't tolerant of lactose, so forcing a snake drink two ounces of snake water could cause its death. I was fooled once again!
