The Hoop Snake rolls at a staggering speed, avoiding trees as well as cars and other obstacles in its way. It chases its victim down, through hills and down, along with sets of steps, through the yard, and then over the cat. It is impossible to stop the snake from following children and their most sought-after prey. As a kid, I looked around at every corner to ensure safety against this well-known snake. It was a sad realization for children to learn that Hoop Snakes are not real.
There's no way to tell the number of kids who received a slap from the makers of this tail for being late for supper or for not arriving on time because they were slow walking, looking at every spot in the distance where there was a Hoop Snake might be waiting in the waiting area, returning home. It was a really confusing moment for a lot of children in my old neighborhood, and I can assure you this with complete honesty. Today, I realize that there has never been or will be an Hoop Snake. This is a sad fact because of my experiences as a child. Do you think of the strength it could have had it been a real animal? Flipping up on its side is a feat that defies all laws. The ability of the animal to navigate between trees and things is an impressive feat of strength. It's possible that I am providing a few adults with a little smile as they watched me walk off, looking around every corner I came to. This tale is a bust, there has never been an Hoop Snake and there will never be another.
Then we come to the dreaded Milk Snake who was responsible for kids acquiring the bone disease known as brittle. As a kid, I was told to drink my entire milk as there had been an increase of Milk Snakes as a result of the rainy season and there was likely to have a shortage of milk in the near future. This Milk Snake was not in any way related to the actual Milk Snake and is part of the King Snake Family (Lampropeltistriangulum). The long, fat snake was all black and moved slowly and in deliberate manners, making it hard for cows to resist. It would latch onto cows ' utterings and not think about children. Their teeth were bound to be sucked out, and it then would take the blood of the cow. We were informed that farmers would go to the barn at time breaks to discover dust settling on the cow's teeth as they attempted to milk it.
Farmers would be rewarded with a bounty, and would be willing to pay a huge sum for milk snakes that were brought to them. I've never thought about it but do you think about how big the milk snake must be to consume three to four gallons milk in one moment? It can reach twenty-five foot and can grow the same height like a football. This size snake could have been difficult to find, but just like the vampire who could consume six liters of blood from a single victim it was a feat of magic. Since nobody ever took the first dollar out of of the bounty's for the milk thief. Sad to say that the milk snake is a legend, never was one, never has been, and will never be. Snakes are lactose intolerant and forcing the snake to drink 2 ounces of snake could very well cause its demise. Beware!
